       LARRY's Air Force career...

I am proud to be a retired Air Force Master Sergeant

and American Veteran.

In my 24-year Air Force career, I received numerous medals and decorations for valor and achievement, including two Meritorious Service Medals, the Air Force Commendation Medal, the Air Force Achievement Medal, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, the Armed Forces Reserve Medal, the National Defense Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal.

The Air Force provided me with years of experience in areas such as operations and maintenance, budgeting and accounting, personnel and recruiting, statistical quality control methods and quantitative data analysis, office management and computer information systems.

Training is a hallmark of military service. I attended six technical training schools, three professional military courses, and numerous field training and OJT courses - achieving an honor graduate award from many of them.

From personnel superintendent and chief of administration, to laboratory quality control technician and shift supervisor - I held seven different career classifications. I've held positions from aircraft repair specialist to being the Assistant to the Air Attache at the U.S. Embassy in Bogota, Columbia.

Working for Air Force Intelligence for over 14 years, I held a Top Secret clearance for many years and many assignments. I was deployed to Panama in Operation Just Cause.

When I retired, I was working in the Pentagon for the Director of Operations and the Commander of the Air Force Reserve. We provided direct support to Operations Desert Storm and Desert Shield.

The year prior, I was selected as "The Senior Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year" by Headquarters Air Force.

As a young sergeant, I was once stationed at Bergstrom Air Force Base.

While I lived in a north Austin, I attended ACC and worked at Highland Mall.
I soon became a Texas citizen, and Austin homeowner.

On weekends, we’d enjoy a family drive up 183 towards Burnet.
It's taken me over thirty years to find my way back home.
